Product Overview

The Type 302 slotted self-tapping insert has cutting edges on its outer circumference that cut a mating thread as it is driven into the base material, eliminating the need for pre-tapping. Once installed it interlocks tightly with the host, providing reliable internal threads in soft materials such as plastics, aluminium and cast iron and markedly improving thread load capacity and wear resistance.
